Goodbye Morning Sickness, Hello Second Trimester!

I am quite happy to report that I have successfully navigated some difficult terrain, also known as the "first trimester" to most pregnant women, and have found myself in the blissful oasis of the second trimester. I quite literally woke up one day (12 weeks and 1 day to be exact) and felt like a whole new woman! I was suddenly able to eat just about anything and smell just about anything without being entirely repulsed, but the thing that actually excited me the most was my ability to be productive around the house again.

For the past 8 weeks, I had been sick, sick, and, did I mention, sick. While I never actually vomitted, I was highly nauseated day in and day out. Combine this with all the work my body was doing to make a nice home for our growing baby, I was beyond exhausted and simply unable to be a contributing member of the household. I can't even being to tell y'all how thankful I am to have such an amazing, loving husband who was more than willing to pick up my insane amount of slack. I am truly one of the luckiest women alive.

Now that I'm up and running, so to speak, I have been able to focus on things like nutrition and exercise which I'll dive into greater detail about sometime in the future.

  1. I'm glad to hear you've made it safely through the first trimester and that you're feeling better:-). This is such an exciting time for you and Dameone. I'm sending hugs and love to the White family.
